Building project for 2nd year at Barteltt School of Architecture

The building hosts a Capoeria school and tourist centre, encouraging visitors of the building to engage into the performance of the Capoeira game. The project believes that the martial arts offer  important values to young gerneration: discipline, respect, self-control, identity, and a feeling of belonging and pride. Introducing a Capoeira school / community centre to Santa Terresa, one of Rio’s most densely-populated residential areas could contribute to forming more connected community.
