Boolean is series of ruled surface sculpture constructed with specially designed hot-wire cutting instrument and styrofoam.

Making film

Split from single rectangular block, one sculpture is the void of the other and vice versa. This is neither additive nor subtractive way of sculpting.

Through multiple trials and errors with the hot-wire cutting instruments, the shape of the styrofoam sculpture reached its maximum surface area before becoming self-intersecting which then would be impossible to separate without breaking the other part.

The overall size of the two-part combined is about 30 x 20 x 30(cm). Orientation of the blocks can be played in different ways also.
